And even more NSW coal to be exported
The NSW Government is now taking public submissions on the proposed new Coal Export Terminal at Kooragang, in Newcastle Harbour. The CET would increase the capacity of the world's biggest coal port by 66 million tonnes per year, and is the major component of plans to double Newcastle coal exports.

The Environmental Assessment for the new CET does not include an assessment of the greenhouse pollution from the 66 million tonnes of coal exported, or of the proliferation of new mines that the loader would allow.
